For 20 years, I have helped students who struggle with reading, writing, and learning.

My teaching is based on structured literacy and the growing Science of Literacy research. This brings together what we know about reading, writing, language, and how students learn.

I work with learners from age 4 to 75. Some are just learning to read. Others have struggled for years and need a different way to learn.

I look at what is getting in the way and find ways to teach that make sense for each learner.

My work has grown beyond reading. I also help students with writing and executive functioning. These are skills that help students plan, stay organized, get started, stay focused, and finish their work.

I want students to understand how they learn and have tools they can use on their own.

I also love working with the adults who support learners. I help parents, homeschool families, and teachers understand learning needs, adjust curriculum, and find practical ways to help students succeed.

I also teach families and educators how to use technology and AI to adjust materials and better meet a learner's needs.

My goal is simple. I want learners to build skills, grow in confidence, and discover that they can learn—even when learning has been hard. Sometimes it takes the right tools, the right teaching, and someone willing to find another way.

Reading is a gift you never have to give back.
